Code of Conduct for Staff members:
1. Staff members are expected to maintain constant activity within the city. A minimum of 2 hours per day or 6 hours per week. Members who can't achieve this goal due to certain circumstances(vacation, examinations, work etc.) must notify the management of the same.
Additionally, staff members are requested to step down from their position if they know they're going to be absent for at-least 1 month. This will automatically be implemented after 1 month of absenteeism if not done before.
2. Members are required to deal with every situation within the project as professionally as possible. Patience is key, and if violations occur within the interaction from the player's side, action can be taken based on the violation and must be propagated in a professional manner.
3. Members shall not get aggressive or agitated on members of the community. If you feel you cannot handle a specific situation without possible agitation, please forward the case to another staff member within the same level, or higher.
4. Members are expected to use the tools for moderation and administration in a responsible manner. These tools are provided mainly to assist you with dealing with reports and issues within the city that cannot be resolved through regular player interaction. Any form of power abuse or informal usage will result in an immediate suspension from administrative duties and removal from the team based on investigation.
5. Provisioning of vehicles, money or items must only be approved by upper management. Any unauthorized provision can be considered as admin abuse and result in immediate expulsion from the team.
6. Unwarranted or unnecessary observation of players would lead to an infraction. Members are required to teleport or spectate players if and when reported only.
7. Members are not allowed to take reports involving factions or families they're associated with. Such reports are only supposed to be handled by other administrative members who are not associated with either. This is to prevent any form of bias in the final decision made by the administrator.
8. Members are required to go through all POVs and evidences available while dealing with a situation. This also includes logs and images available to make more accurate decisions and conclusions.
9. Members are expected to take up tickets or reports being made within 24 hours of posting. If there are any unprecedented delays, a maximum of 48 hours from the time of posting can be provided.
10. Reports must be resolved within 24 to 48 hours of review commencement. If the reporter or the reportee takes more than 24 hours to respond, necessary action can be taken without any further review.
11. Members are required to post information on bans, warns or kicks after taking actions within the appropriate discord channels designated for them along with the time stamp(in-game timing).
12. Do not share any sort of IC information to players that could provide them with an unfair advantage over other players. This also includes locations of other players, activities of other players, or stats.
Procedures for situations:
1. If a player has been reported for VDM, RDM or any other violation that is taking place at that moment, members should teleport to the player with invisibility enabled. Additionally, recorded evidence of the same must be captured before teleporting. From there on, the member can decide upon the punishment required.
2. If the member couldn't reach the spot on time, they can request a POV from the reporter or check logs if necessary. If unsure of the violation or there's any absence of evidence, the report can be voided and advice must be provided to the reporter to capture the violation using a recording software like Nvidea Shadowplay, Medal etc.
3. If a situation has already taken place involving two parties and the parties involved wish to discuss about it, teleport the reporter and the reportee to neutral zone with minimal activity(like Maze Bank rooftop helipad etc.) with a private message warning sent to the ones about to teleported. The message can be of the following example: 'You have been reported for <violation name in short like VDM, RDM etc.>. Please standby for a teleportation'.
Give the player 30 to 60 seconds to get ready and teleport them to the spot. From there on, the situation can be mediated based on any evidence shared to the member via discord DMs or any other platform. Evidences shared can later on be used to justify actions taken.
4. In the case of discord tickets, requests must be taken within 12 hours. If the query can only be handled by developers or management, members must tag the appropriate team member.
5. If a community member direct messages a staff member with a question or query, members must respond with as much information as they're allowed to provide. In case a staff is requested to look into a forum report or complaint, the staff member must advice them against the same.
6. Staff disrespect has it's own bounds. Politeness cannot be expected from every player, but at the same time, usage or profanities or condescending phrases can be considered as disrespect. Only take action when the player crosses a line. The same applies for project disrespect as well. If a player provides constructive criticism about our project, the management will take it into consideration. However, if they take that as an opportunity to lash out on the hours of hard work and dedication put into the city, necessary action can be taken.
7. If you come across a player who's possibly violating any of the server rules, record the violation and take necessary action. Upon doing so, make sure to log the action taken along with the evidence recorded. Any falsified punishment without proper evidence can be considered as grounds for an infraction.
8. Higher administration reserves the right to remove administrators from the team at any time for valid reasons. Former administration needs to be notified of the reasoning behind their removal.
These rules and procedures are set in place to avoid any sort of staff misconduct or bias. If any staff member is found in violation of the same, upper management reserves the right to review and take necessary actions. We only ask of you to follow these regulation set in place to provide our players with a fair and just environment to conduct their RP scenarios.
