This is a list of terminology to be used when on the server, along with the meaning of each word or phrase.
- Locals - NPCs/AIs.
- GSW - Gunshot Wound.
- Voicebox - Microphone.
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit.
- Deported - Banned/Kicked.
- MVA - Motor Vehicle Accident.
- In my/his/her head - Being AFK.
- Pockets/Wallet - Inventory menu.
- Rat Poison - 2 Words to state “RP”.
- In the clouds - Out Of Character chat.
- Government Rules/Laws - Server rules.
- Government Official - Server Staff Member.
- Oscar-Oscar-Charlie - Out Of Character chat.
- Third Eye - L alt key
- Muscle - Key (i.e. ‘’flex your E muscle’’ - press E)
- Dirty Money - Money obtained from illegal activities.
- Harassment - If a someone is abusing, insulting, or otherwise harming you on a regular basis
- Put it over your head - Use /me to say or do something.
- Government ID - Overhead Player ID, found with the L alt key.
- Stuck in Terminal/Stuck on a flight - In queue to get into the server.
- Import - Add-on resources (i.e. ‘’imported cars’’ - add-on, non gta cars)
- City/District - Server (i.e. ‘’i’ll be in city/district 1’’ - i will play on server
- Head popped/exploded - Game crash (i.e. ‘’my head popped’’ - my game crashed)
- Default Danny/Danielle - New Player who has not changed the default look of his/her character.
- Take a flight - Disconnect/Relog (i.e. ‘’i’ll take a flight’’ - i will relog) - can also be used in situations when people combat logged.
- Eyes - Screen (i.e. ‘’it didn’t happen in my eyes’’ - it didn’t happen on my screen) - desync might happen, and something may happen on your screen, but not on the screen of another player.
These are the rules in which L!VE Roleplay works from. They are essential in ensuring proper, fair and constructive roleplay. Roleplay Words and Definitions:
This section will detail some terms you may come across here. For a list of in-character terminology click here! Please ensure you understand these terms as none of the following are permitted within L!VE Roleplay RP. Please note, we do not list all reasons that require infractions to be placed upon your account, use common sense where available and perceived sub-context surrounding specific rules such as 'Exploiting' and 'Abusing Game Mechanics' before complaining of a reason "not listed here".
- OOC: Out of character. Speaking in a real life context.
- VigilanteRP: You cannot take 'crime fighting' into your own hands.
- Powergaming: Roleplaying with mechanics / abilities that do not exist.
- Cop Baiting: Intentionally enticing law enforcement into any form of RP.
- SuicideRP: Using suicide as an initiation point for RP.
- FearRP: You must value your life and RP any fear as you would have it in real-life.
- Value of Life: Similar to FearRP in that you should act in a way that values your life and welfare.
- Lootboxing: Looting the majority of a person's belongings without logical RP reason.
- ShitRP: Roleplay which is not of a quality to allow others to be able to interact with a person or situation constructively.
- FailRP: A broad term but is generally when a player does something which in the real world wouldn't be considered by most.
- HitmanRP: To engage in a transaction in which money, goods, or services are traded in exchange for the death or injury of another player.
- RDM: Random Deathmatch. Attempting to kill or killing another player with no, or minimal, roleplay, initiation or reason.
- Griefing: Co-ordinating purposeful intent to ruin the experience of the server for other players.
- VDM: Vehicle Deathmatch. Using a vehicle as a weapon in an attempt to injure or kill another player with no, or minimal, roleplay, initiation or reason.
- Gunplay over Roleplay: To resort to shooting / killing with little roleplay reason, rather than attempting to create or continue a meaningful interaction.
- NLR: New life rule. You cannot remember any details after ICU/respawning for the purpose of seeking or causing revenge, conflict or retribution of any sort.
- GTA Driving: Driving on terrain unsuitable for that vehicle, using jumps, driving at clearly excessive speeds through the city for no good reason etc.
- Combat Logging: Exiting the server to avoid combat, player interaction, danger or death. If you involve yourself in a situation, you must see it through entirely.
- Metagaming: Using information obtained outside the bounds of your character to benefit your roleplay / character’s knowledge, where otherwise they would have no knowledge of such information.
- Pregnancy RP: Roleplaying as being pregnant with a child.
- Inappropriate use of /me's: Using /me's for actions or animations already covered by existing game mechanics.
